When we first enquired about connecting to the electricity grid they made us feel very unwelcome and wanted to charge us a minimum of $15,000 over 10 years no matter how much or little electricity we would actually use.
We are both interested in sustainable living, alternative energy. We are also in the middle of starting a small organic farm growing fruit, veggies, and chestnuts as we both believe that organically grown produce is healthier and have bought organic products for the quite a while now.

Don’t hook it up to the grid – but make sure you tell them you’re not going to, and why. They need to be aware, or nothing will change.
